Reception Transition 2022

 Welcome To Reception

A very big welcome to our school. I have put together some useful links and information on this page, which we hope will help you get to know us a little better before meeting us in person.

Mrs Johnston and Mrs Mylius are teaching Reception Class at the moment but we will be welcoming back Mrs Sims from maternity leave in September.

A little hello from me - Mrs Johnston . I hope you enjoy the story and I look forward to meeting you very soon!

Welcome to our Reception Class 2022

This is our discovery space. We have our very own playhouse which we love to play in and we like to change its use weekly, it is a pirate ship now but last week it was a hospital...I wonder what it will be next week ? We also have lots of areas where we can build, paint, read and cook.

This is our learning space where we enjoy hearing stories, playing on the interactive whiteboard and sitting down to complete some fun maths and English challenges.

This is our reading corner where we come each day after lunch to sit, relax and catch up on some reading.

This is our outdoor space where we have a mud kitchen, climbing frame, water play and a sandpit. We also have lots of fun activities placed in tuff-trays which get changed daily.

This is our hallway where we line up for lunch. We also use this space for some quite learning and to see what fun things the whole school has been up to. We like this hallway as it has lots of pretty lights and foliage along the ceiling.

This is our Lobby where people enter the school, it has pictures on the wall of our school adventures and a place to relax and read a book or two.
