Reception Transition 2023

Welcome to Buttercup Class and a very big welcome to our school. We have put together some useful links and information on this page, which we hope will help you get to know us a little better before meeting us in person.

A little information about our team:

Mrs Mylius is one of our class teachers in Buttercup Class who teaches Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Sims is our other Class teacher who teaches on Thursday and Friday. We have our two Teaching Assistants - Mrs Cooper and Miss Bedford who help us in our learning and investigating throughout the week. Mrs Freemantle will also be in the classroom every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. We are always available to speak with you about any questions or queries you or your child may have - just contact the school by telephone, email or catch us on the school gate at the start or end of the day.

Each year the children choose the name of their class to give them ownership over what they are doing. This relates to a whole school theme. Attenborough is our class name this year.

Your first Stay and Play session is: Monday 3rd July 1:30pm - 3pm.

Your second Stay and Play session is: Thursday 13th July 1:30pm - 3pm.

Your third Stay and Play session is: Wednesday 6th September 1:30pm - 3pm

Your child will be starting school on Tuesday 12th September.

You will meet the teachers and your new friends. The children in Buttercup Class are really looking forward to meeting you!
